Sean Monteith, a native of Northwestern Ontario, has devoted over three decades of his life to the noble cause of public education. His academic journey, spanning across Ottawa and Thunder Bay, has been marked by remarkable accomplishments including an Honours Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Education, and a Masters in Education. He further holds supervisory officer qualifications for Ontario.
Sean’s tireless dedication to education saw him rise through the ranks, from an elementary and secondary school teacher to a school principal, and ultimately to the position of Director of Education for two school boards. His unwavering commitment to educating marginalized children, particularly those from poverty-stricken and First Nation communities, remained a constant in his career.
As the CEO of two organizations, Sean’s initiatives significantly improved students’ lives. He has been pivotal in supporting provincial education priorities by liaising closely with government officials. After his impactful stint in the provincial education leadership, he transitioned into the role of Senior Vice President at Loyalist College in southern Ontario.
